A CASE OF CEREBELLAR DAMAGE BY SODIUM MONOFLUROACETATE POISONING WITH CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM AND PSYCHOTIC SYMPTOMS

Abstract
|

|
|
The authors have experienced a case of brain damage due to sodium monofluoroacetate(SMFA) poisoning. The patient woh had-ingested SMFA showed the characteristic regressed, childih behavior with marked cerebellar signs and intermittent psychotic symptoms. After follow up for four yerars, the cerebellar atrophy, proven by computed tomography is developed and considered to be a sequelsae of toxic effect of SMFA.
